Gloeostereum incarnatum S.Ito et Imai is a traditional officinal and edible fungi in China. It has a long history and good curative effect that people use Gloeostereum incarnatum S.Ito et Imai to cure some diseases such as dysentery, diarrhea and enteritis. Also Gloeostereum incarnatum S.Ito et Imai was embodied by Ben Cao Gang Mu. Researches show that: its fermentation broth contains many nutriments and can strongly inhibit the growth of many pathogenic bacteria. The polysaccharide has many bioactivities such as buildup immunity, anti-tumour, anti-ulcer.
