Core-shell inorganic compound/polymer composite materials have received increasing interests from scientists in material science field for their special structure and function. The materials possess the characteristics of inorganic material, polymer and nanomaterial, and are applied to such fields as biology, medicine, catalyst, electrochemistry, etc.In this dissertation, the CeO2 nanoparticles modified by oleic acid were prepared by extraction, then the CeO2 coated with polystyrene core-shell nanoparticles were synthesized by emulsion polymerization. The core-shell particles were systematically characterized by TEM, XRD, UV-Vis spectrometer, FTIR, TG-DTA for analysis of their morphology and components. The polystyrene microspheres were prepared by emulsion polymerization, and then the TiO2@polystyrene core-shell nanoparticles were prepared by surface directional deposition. TEM, XRD, UV-Vis spectrometer, FTIR, TG-DTA were used for analysis of their morphology and components. Some new results were obtained. These results lay some foundations for further investigation of the properties and applications of this kind of core-shell structure nanoparticles.
