This thesis review the history of long-lasting phosphorescent powder materials and glass materials comprehensively, presents their recent progress and summarizes the long-lasting phosphorescent mechanism. On the basis of this summarization CaWO4:Eu3+ red long-lasting powder materials and (60-y)ZnO-(40-x)B2O3-xSiO2-yAl2O3:Mn2+ red long-lasting glass materials were prepared by solid reaction method and melting method at high temperature respectively.Effects of concentrations of Eu3+ doping, synthesized condition on CaWO4:Eu3+ powder materials were studied. Effects of the change of base glass, concentrations of Mn2+ doping and fluxing agents, co-doped ions on the phosphorescence properties of Mn2+ activated (60-y)ZnO-(40-x)B2O3-xSiO2-yAl2O3 glass were discussed. XRD, IR-spectra, fluorescece spectra and thermoluminescence spectra were adopted to investigate the structure and properties of the samples. The optimum compose of the CaWO4:Eu3+ aferglow powder material and long-lasting glass material were gained, and the optimum condition of sintering the CaWO4:Eu3+ aferglow powder material was determined.
