The development cycle of new type car lies on the stamping process of auto panels. However, a trial-and error-procedure is often demanded in auto panels module designing for o long time. So time and manpower are wasted. All of these result in lower productivity,longer development cycle,worse quality and higher cost. Therefore, a method must be acquired, which could help men find the best or feasible design method at less expense in shorter time. That is numerical simulation method.This article firstly introduced the development history of numerical simulation technology and spring-back, retrospected the researches about these by scholars in-and out-country, and then related theoretical bedrocks on numerical simulation,mainly including elastoplasticity finite element equation and dynamic explicit algorithm,static implicit algorithm。Dynamic explicit algorithm is used to simulate stamping process, and static implicit algorithm for simulating spring-back process. DYNAFORM's modeling isn't very strong, so the models used by this text are all made in UG. At last, the article made use of DYNAFORM software to simulate the horizontal beam and the roof bow, and in the actual production carried on a verification to the spring-back of the roof bow. All of these proved that the usefulness and possibility of the simulation, and accumulated experience for further study and popularization.The horizontal beam is important part of inner auto panels, which carries horizontal load of a car. The author used DYNAFORM to simulate the forming process of the horizontal beam. The choosing of blank is very important,reasonable blank is not only beneficial to the flow of the material, but also helpful to saving cost.
