This topic is commissioned by Wuhan Iron and Steel Company, respectively study on two rotary kilns'composite furnace of Cheng Chao iron ore plant and wulongquan active lime plant.Through investigation of rotary kilns'lining materials related to the adoption and comprehensive analysis of the situation, determine the alumina-cement precastable as pellet rotary kilns'lining material and magnesium-chromium precastable as active lime rotary kilns'lining material. For prefabricated research, firstly work on its particles. On its basis, study on performance impact of different combination of agents, powder and additive agent. Secondly, in the prefabricated system, through the addition of raw materials with lower heat conduction coefficient, raising warming performance of lining material. Through the above aspects tests to determine the composition of two prefabricated system limited.In addition, through the laying of insulation fibre and improving construction methods, form a set of relatively complete production, the construction and maintenance of rotary kilns'composite furnace lining.It is proved with experimental results : (1) Alumina-cement precastable with 5% zircon sand powder measured by the factor of 800 degrees, the heat conduction coefficient is 0.512W/m.K below the heat conduction coefficient 0.960W/m.K of materials used now. Specimen with 1.5% steel fibre under 1300 degrees last 3 hours, the wear quantity is 4.57cm~3 and under 1100 degrees thermal shock number reached 20 in water cooling condition. In addition laboratory specimen under 1300 degrees last 3 hours, its physical indicators including cold crushing strength, cold crack strength, bulk density and pore have been raised. (2) Magnesium-chromium precastable with 5% zircon sand powder, specimen with 1.5% under 1300 degrees last 3 hours, its cold crushing strength reached 50.02MPa, cold crack strength reached 7.82 MPa. In addition specimen under 1100 degrees thermal shock number reached 12 in water cooling condition, the heat conduction coefficient measured 800 degrees is 1.029W/m.K, compared the specimen without zircon sand powder, get marked improvement.
