Governmental Efforts In Solving Environmental Problems In China

This thesis mainly discusses the efforts being made by the Chinese government to tackle current environmental problems. The thesis first presents an analysis of the current state of the environmental problems in China as well as their causes. After that, on the basis of the theories of the"Responsible Government"and"Public Administration"as well as relevant foreign experiences, the thesis put forward some policy proposals for the Chinese government on tackling environmental problems. The proposals include the following: the establishment of the concept of eco-civilization in China, the optimization of the institutions in charge of environmental protection, and the upgrading of the rule of law; among the proposals, the transformation is the precondition, the optimization of the institutions in charge of environmental protection is the core issue, the rule of law is the guarantee. With help of the above proposals, it is hoped that the environment of China will be protected and improved.
