At present,50% of the raw materials of spunlacying nonwovens are PET staple fibers, most of which are the same kind used for traditional textile. However, with stronger and stronger market competition, some properties of the textile PET fiber can't meet the requirements of the users for their quality improvement and new product development. Thus, this paper discusses the development of the spunlacing polyester staple fiber on the production line of textile fiber.The main contents of the research are as following. According to the special investigation of the equipments and process of spunlace nonwoven factories and property analysis of the PET fibers used for spunlace nonwovens, the property standard of the special spunlace fiber is settled. Through designing and optimizing the process parameters, the whole set of producing technology is developed. Taking advantage of defect image analysis technique, the defect content in the fiber is effectively controlled. By trying sorts of special oil, the oil type and oiling process are optimally selected. Through exploring the testing method of additional properties,the analysis methods of hydrophilicity and foaming tendency are established.
