The production geology, the mining survey, the productive plan, the production management and so on are main core link of the strip mine production, how accurate, effectively carries on the synthesis management to these information, and realizes the scientific decision-making management fully using these information, is one of important topics which is solved enhancing the mine enterprise production efficiency, the management level , the economic efficiency, and pushing forward open-air mine advance in technology.SURPAC is well-known three dimensional mining design software in domestic and foreign, the present paper carries on secondary developments and the consummation to it combining the question which exists in view of this software and domestic open-air mining design actual situation and using TCL (Tools Command Language) script language. Putting forward " establishing ore body envelope model by the plane way ", " division bench surface on inclining the lamination" and so on the concept and the method in the development, model establishment and mining design has made the significant improvement and the consummation to this software, finally forms conforms to the Chinese national condition strip mine plan the CAD system.Presently partial achievements on paper is used in the Yimin strip mine, the achievement which obtains had the certain theory guiding sense and the using value.
