Research On The The Enclosure Of Open-pit By Moving Frustum Method Based On Solid Model

The enclosure of open-pit mining limit is the foundation in the whole design of open-pit mine. And it plays an important role in the following work of the open-pit mine. It decides the recoverable reserves, the tonnage of rocks, production capacity, the serving time, and any other technical index in a mine, and it also affect the mineral deposit developing and transportation system of the open-pit mine, and it can have a far-reaching impact in the techno-economic results of the whole mine.The paper investigates the status of research and application of the mining software which researched in the fields of enclosure of open-pit mining limit at home and abroad. And realized that the software abroad cannot solve the problem came accrossed in the mine at home. But the software at home are weakness in use in the mine, so it will make sense in the development of mining to reseach the enclosure of open-pit by moving frustum method based on solid model.The paper absorbs the merits of mining software existed and combines the features of domestic mining industry to put forward the moving frustum method in the fields of enclosure of open-pit mining limit. The system include the following parts:building of geology solid model of mine and block model, building of DTM model, selecting of parameters used in the open-pit, theory and realization of moving frustum, and calculation of amount of ore. The text develops the open-pit enclosure system using moving frustum method based on solid model, which uses the VC programmer language combining the technology of SQL Server 2000 database decision support system and expert system an so on, uses the Object ARX interface language on the platform of AutoCAD.The aim of the method using moving frustum posed in this article is to research the enclosure of open-pit mining limit on the basis of the data we have had. And from this, we could get the geology solid model and block model of the mine, the DTM model of the mine, and at last, we get the final mining area of open-pit. And its showed that this method is applicable in any kinds of boundary circle of open-pit.
