| There are a lot of studies on modification of epoxy with silicone domestic and abroad, but few studies on modification of novolac with silicone are searched. This paper studies the synthesis process of modification of novolac epoxy with silicone in detail and successfully chooses the catalyst system, the proportion of resin and the inverse proportion of coupling. At the base of those, the modified resins of different proportion's resins are synthesized. Through the experiments the appropriate synthesis temperature and synthesis time are included besides the other process conditions. Moreover, the studies also describe how the modified proportion of the novolac epoxy and silicone resins affects the temperature resistance, anti-corrosion and other mechanical properties and how the expected modified resin which has excellent hot resistance and corrosion resistance is made.Modified resins are considered as basic materials during the process of studying the hot-resistance and anti-corrosion coatings. Some rudimental researches on how curing agent system or proportion between pigments and modified resins or inverse proportion of resins affects the temperature resistance, anti-corrosion and other properties of coatings are made. An appropriate direction for producing coatings is found through orthogonal experiments.Molecular structure of modified resin was characterized by means of Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectrum analysis, hot-resistant property and microstructure of synthesized modified resins was measured and analyzed by means of thermogravimetry analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The general physical and chemical properties of coatings which was researched were tested... |
