The optimal comprehensive benefit is the objective of sewage treatment plant processes optimizing design. After study on sewage treatment processes which are widely used by many plants and optimizing models which are adopted by scholars at home and abroad. Analytical Hierarchy Process and Fuzzy Comprehensive evaluation was adopted for the sewage treatment plant processes choice. The weight of related processes was confirmed, the judgement matrix was set up, and the membership degree was calculated. According to maximum membership degrees, the related processes were optimized. Based on the process optimal design, the dynamic programming was adopted to design sewage treatment system structures. The decision and phase variables were confirmed. The charge functions were set up, in order for each structure optimal design. The optimal design methods were adopted by the research could be used for theory reference of sewage treatment plant optimizing processes design and operation.
