As important parts of enterprise assets, equipments are one of foundations of production. To achieve efficient, safe and good quality production, modern enterprise largely depends on advanced and reliable equipments and high level equipment management. Traditionally, technical management is emphasized on in equipment management. Meanwhile, initial investment is focused on in decision making methods to achieve less investment and fast benefit. It can comply with a high technical requirement, but it is difficult to be reasonable and economic, also it does not help to raise the level of equipment management. By applying technical economics to decision science, a renewal decision making method of pumping units based on life cycle cost (LCC) theory is researched and carried out. It provides quantitative analysis for decision making from the perspective of cost, which makes renewal decision more comprehensive, realistic and reasonable.Life cycle cost theory of technical economics is introduced at first. On the basis of investigation, the factors that influence pumping units' life cycle cost are analyzed, a suitable life cycle cost decomposition structure of pumping units is presented, and corresponding data is gathered according to the structure.Estimation method of pumping units' maintenance cost is stated. In order to make up for the limitation of incompletion of historical data, the concept of Model Pumping Units is brought up. Then the estimation equation of maintenance cost is constructed with regression prediction method, which lays a foundation for renewal decision making.Renewal decision making method of pumping units based on life cycle cost theory is discussed and investigated. Combined with the pumping units' renewal characteristics, annual cost comparison method is applied to renewal decision making. And the objective functions are built for every renewal projects. Comparing with the annual costs of alternatives, the optimum selection is achieved.The application of this renewal decision making method in oil field equipment technical economics evaluation system is stated, which are the cost modeling module and the renewal decision making module of the system. Design and realization of these two modules are also introduced in detail. Finally, being tested in Liaohe oilfield, the system achieves the functions of cost modeling and renewal decision making.
