This paper starts with theory research to eco-environmental water demand of the river, puts concept,constitution,characteristic and calculating method of the river eco-environmental water demand. The river eco-environmental water demand is meaning to the necessary quantity which maintains specifical eco-environmental quality and function of the river ecosystem. It has time-space dimension, quality and quantity assurance, threshold value character, ecology, environment and society four basic characteristics, includes watercourse inside and watercourse outside water demand. Give the calculating method and suited condition of eco-environmental water demand about the segment of water reduced of hydropower station.The surface fall is 310m from western Miansha channel to eastern Dashui channel about the part of Jinping of Yalong River, which is the best concentrated part in the Yalong River. The Jinping second class hydropower station will be built just utilizes this fall to generate electricity. Because of construction of this diversion-type hydropower station, the segment of water reduced in length 119km will be formed between the brake and plant. The reduce in water quantity makes local weather, hydrology condition, material circulation and energy flow to change, possible bring many ecological problems, induce some changes that can't reverse to ecosystem. Research on eco-environmental water demand about the segment of water reduced for the Jinping second class hydropower station have the important theory meaning and practical value to mitigate the ecological influence,protect local environment,raise use ratio of water resource of the part of Jinping.Linking environmental trait on the segment of water reduced of the Jinping second class, the constituents of the eco-environmental water demand are ascertained as: ①the basic ecology flux to maintain ecosystem stabilization of water livings; ②the minimum dilution and decontamination demand to retain the river water-enenvironment quantity; ③the evaporation need to keep the body of water to regulate the weather; ④the replenishment to maintain underground water level dynamic equilibrium; ⑤the water demand to transport sand inside...
