Dicyclopentadiene(DCPD) was a kind of dienes contained in cracking C5 fraction and it was an important kind of raw material in chemical industry. Producing capacity of DCPD was increasing with the C5 segregation apparatus scale expanding. Now, the purity of DCPD produced in industry was in the range of 80%~96%, but the purity of DCPD was asked more than 99.5% in some definite situation. It is of practical meaning to investigate the method of high purity DCPD production. In the dissertation, the raw material was the crude DCPD which purity was 80%.The method of high purity DCPD production was researched with the major content as follows:1. Foundation of C5 fraction's analysis method and measurements of codimers contained in crude DCPD(1) SE-30 capillary column was selected and a two-stage programmed heating method was used. The relative mass correction factor of DCPD in the range of 0%~10% and 80%~100% was determined using n-pentane as reference matter. The method of mass fraction calculation of components was found.(2) The content of codimers contained in crude DCPD was determined by means of GC-MS apparatus, comparison with standard samples'chromatogram and the chromatogram of dimerizers from standard samples'redimerization and reference investigate, etc.2. Study on DCPD vapor-phase thermal crackingThe process of DCPD vapor-phase thermal cracking by using an azeotrope feed was advanced. Effects of factors on cracking results and feasibility of this process were investigated. This process was applied to crude DCPD cracking by choosing suitable conditions.(1) DCPD was vaporized together with water at a low temperature in the process of DCPD vapor-phase thermal cracking by using an azeotrope feed.
