Cleaner Production is a kind of innovative thinking method about the prevention of waste in the process of some or other product and the product itself. At the same time, Cleaner Production is also one of the important approaches harmonizing between development of civil economy and environmental protection. How to implement cleaner production in foundry industry is the main issue in the field of sustainable development of economy. Based on the combination between the theory of cleaner production and the practice of enterprise, the research on the application of cleaner production in foundry industry in our country was achieved.Researched the processes of 9th foundry industries in Tianjin, the suitable process for the Chinese foundry industry was discussed that is the serial process: training for management, investigation, pre-CP assessment, date collection, CP assessment , CP focus's process, sustain CP activities and Environmental Policy. And the EMS(Environmental Management System) will be established.Based on the latest and advanced global theories, the new technologies was suggested: improving Housekeeping practices, selecting alternative inputs, improving metal yields, improving energy efficiency, minising foundry by-products and production planning and improvement.Based on the specific situation of enterprise, the different project was suggested by analyzing and benchmarking .of balance of materials. And the benchmarks was established to push CP forward.CP assessment for foundry was established by consulting related document and discussing with experts.
