Landfill leachate is a kind of high concentration, slowly biodegradable organic wastewater with quantity of organic pollutants, heavy metals, virus and nosogenetic bacteria. There are many miscellaneous methods to treat leachate, and all of this, its core part is biochemical process or combination of biochemical process and physicochemical process. In this paper, a combination process of UASB (upflow anaerobic sludge blanket) and AMT(Advanced Molecule decomposition wastewater treatment) was adopted for leachate treatment. In this pliot scale experiment, we studied main factors affected on the efficiency of the whole process.Through changing experimental parameters, such as organic loading, pH, water temperature, AMT hydraulic retention time and dosage, we studied the removal efficiency of the combination process in different conditions. The experiment results showed that UASB-AMT combination process can efficiently remove organic pollutants in leachate. In order to obtain ideal removal efficiency, it suggested the CODcr load of influent of UASB system should not be over 4kg/m3.d in moderate temperature, and in under 15℃temperature condition, not over 2.5 kg/m3.d. The CODcr load of influent of AMT system should not be over 1.6 kg/m3.d.In winter, as dosage's solubility of AMT system lower, its removal efficiency was worse, dosage was 1-2 times as in normal temperature, especially quantity of Al2(SO4)3 was 5 times as in normal temperature. Secondary decomposition and secondary sedimentation should be adopted in AMT system for insuring removal efficiency in winter.
