The research object in this paper is based on the product line of Shenyang Vigor Continuous Cast Iron Bar Manufactory. Aiming at the spheroidal graphite iron's solidification process in the horizontal continuous cast crystallizer, It considered the important factors that can influence the horizontal continuous cast product, including the horizontal continuous casting iron bar's solidification hidden heat and the airspace's resistance between the iron bar and the crystallizer. The special treatment measures of solidification hidden heat problem in the horizontal continuous cast's solidification process and the casting speed problem are brought forward. Using the direct finite difference method to establish the numerical simulation model of the horizontal continuous cast and use the visual basic language to programme, it have emulated the spheroidal graphite iron's solidification process in the horizontal continuous cast, including the casting's temperature distribution, the casting's liquid core variational regular, working out the casting's liquid core length and the thinnest solidified shell of casting and other parameters.At last, the effects of the horizontal continuous cast's some pivotal parameters rate on the horizontal continuous cast product process are investigated by adjusting master parameters of model. Conclusions as following:1. When other conditions are invariable, casting speed augments, the casting liquid heart's length lengthens, the surface temperature of casting will become higher and the thinnest solidified shell thickness of casting will become thinner.2. When other conditions are invariable, casting temperature reduces, the horizontal continuous cast liquid core's length shortens, the thinnest solid shell thickness of casting will become thicker.3. When other conditions are invariable, airspace augments, the thinnest solid shell thickness of casting will become thinner and the surface temperature of casting will become higher.
