Mo tailings is a kind of metal tailings. The stacked tailings release Mo with high content exceeding the background value to the environment under the natural conditions such as rainwater leaching, which will bring about the soil and groundwater pollution. This thesis took Mo tailings of Gangtun area in Huludao City as the studying object, and adopted the dynamic leaching experiment to study the characteristic of Mo tailings leaching. The tailings releasing amount was evaluated and the measures of controlling pollution and comprehensive utilization were suggested.The experiment includes two parts: detecting the rank of Mo tailings and dynamic leaching orthogonal experiment. The rank of fresh Mo tailings in Gantun area is 0.273%, which is high enough to be reused to abstract Mo or made into relevant Mo products. But it will pollute the environment if piled in the earth's surface. The leaching orthogonal experiment inspected the effect of rainwater pH value, temperature, rainfall to Mo tailings leachate, and studied the change law of leachate's Mo concentration, pH value and electrolytic conductivity.Experiment results reveal following characteristics of the Mo tailings leaching:â‘ The effects of rainwater pH value and temperature to leachate are notable, rainfall hasn't obvious effect; lower pH value is beneficial to Mo leaching; higher temperature promote the release of Mo in some degree;â‘¡The pH values of initial Mo tailings'leachate and the rainwater have plus correlativity, and the later pH value almost changes between 7.2 and 7.8;â‘¢The electrolytic conductivity of leachate decreases gradually;â‘£The fit equation of Mo leaching was obtained, which demonstrates that the leachate's Mo concentration will maintain above 2.5 mg/L, exceeding the Mo standard value (0.07 mg/L) in earth's surface water about 36 times.The evaluation of releasing amount studied the releasing law of Mo and estimated the polluting amounts of Mo tailings. The releasing law conforms to the exponent equationy=256.622x0.636; Mo pollution parameter is 118.599 mg/kg, Mo releasing rate is 2.83%; the forecast Mo polluting amount in Gangtun area is about 0.061t.The pollution of Mo tailings has its own characteristics. Finally, the thesis suggests that Mo tailings'comprehensive utilization is the nicer measure to prevent and cure the Mo pollution.
