Study On The Relation Of Industrial Structure And Core Competence Cultivation In Dushanzi Petrochemical Works

Dushanzi petrochemical works, subsidiary to CNPC Xinjiang petroleum administration, is a large national petrochemical enterprise. After restructuring as planed by CNPC at the end of 1999, Dushanzi petrochemical works has become an enterprise with the main business sector of providing services for petrochemical production. Now the development and benefit of Dushanzi petrochemical works are facing great challenges because Dushanzi petrochemical company has taken some measures to increase its profit by cost control (lowering cost) as well as some other reasons.In this article the author, in light of the development opportunity to Dushanzi petrochemical works as provided by Dushanzi petrochemical company for the construction of 10 million tpa refinery and 1.2 million tpa ethylene plant (hereafter called the great project) , gives an all-round analysis on the present conditions of Dushanzi petrochemical works and the outer environment for the development and puts forward the core competence cultivation strategy for Dushanzi petrochemical works, based on the theoretical study on the nature of the core enterprise competence cultivation and the relations of the leading business, products and the core competence cultivation.
