| In this paper, a model for calculating contents of the main pollutants in exhaust gas,wastewater and ash from coal-fired power plants was established. The prediction of pollutants in exhaust gas was based on conventional calculating models, then the material conservation theory and the data of coal quality were used to build the formula for calculating the emissions of them; According to the status of ash-flushing system in domestic power plants, ash-water in two different types dedusting systems, i.e.dry and wet dedusting hydraulic flushing ash system, were discussed separately in the prediction of pollutants in ash-water. Not only the material conservation for macroscopical consideration, but also several chemical reactions that probably exit in ash-water were took into account. Based on these thoughts, we brought out the formula for estimating the concentration of contaminants in ash-water. Finally the model as the core and using VB program, a software was developed for online monitoring the pollutants from coal-fired power plants, and which will make great sense.
