A method of designing about vacuum adsorption clamp is proposed in this paper. Using CAE method to analyze and optimize static deformation of vacuum adsorption clamp will efficiently reduce development cost, abbreviate development cycle, and advance the quality and credibility of products. In this paper, different sizes of plates will be analyzed and optimized using finite element method. And the software, Ansys, will help to implement it.At first, the system structure will be introduced, and the two kinds of finite element models, respectively meshed in shell or in solid, will be modeled using APEL language, one kind of parameter language. Then the static deformations of different kinds of plates will be calculated using static analysis. Then optimize the geometry of vacuum adsorption clamp with the design variables of groove width, slot depth and distance between the edge of plate and outer flank of seal groove, and it will advance the working performance. The effect of quality, when the reinforcing rib is being used, will be reviewed at the same time.Later, the principle of deformation of plates is studied. By modeling and calculating different kinds of finite element models of plates, the warping values will be obtained, and the relation between the size and thickness, satisfying the adsorption demand of vacuum adsorption clamp, could be inferred. At last, analyze the principle of cutting force of plates. Simply calculate the cutting force when the vacuum adsorption clamp is working, and then load it on the model to investigate the effect to the deformation of plates.
