Oil sand is the mixture of pitch, water and clay. With the exploration of the conventional oil and the higher of the international oil price, the oil sand is thought more and more by the governments of different countries. Canada, Vennezuela, the USA, Russia and China has plenty of oil sand , and most of the oil sand is in Alberta province in Canada. After years of research, the exploration of the oil sand in Canada has come into the industrial stage, the mainly technology used now is ground digging with hot water washing separation.China has relatively abundant oil sand resources, which is mainly located in Xinjiang and Qinghai province in Northwest, in Xizang, Sichuan and Guizhou province in Southwest, in Guangxi province in the South, in Zhengjiang province in the East and in Neimeng province in the North. Large area of oil sand is found recently in Neimenggu province in Songliao basin, with high oil cut and low imbedding, it has pretty big exploration potential. As we are in the early stage of the oil sand research, it is important to find a good way to explore it.The author has researched the geological situation of the oil sand mine and participated in drilling and coring by following the whole process of the exploration. The oil sand is optimized and the oil cut is tested by extractive method in the lab. The saturated oil and the rich oil sand with big reserve and high oil cut are researched by chemical hot water washing method and ultrasonic wash method, the influence of the washing temperature, after researching the concentration of the cleaning agent ,the washing time and the ratio of the agent and the sand on the elution ratio we get the result that the rational washing temperature is 85℃,the washing time is 50min, the ratio of the agent and the oil sand is 1:1. the operabive temperature of ultrasonic is 40~50℃,the time is 7min;under the optimized washing temperature, time and ratio, 2 formula of cleaning agent are optimized , the elution ratio is higher than 96%, the oil cut of the arentilla is lower than 0.7%,so the environmental request can be fulfilled well. Using the optimized cleaning agent to test the low water cut oil saturated sand, the highest elution ratio is 95.1%, but the product has plenty of fine earth, which is hard to separate, the hydrocarbon series composition, the wax content, the nitrogen , the sulfur content, the density, the viscosity and the freezing point of product are analyzed , in comparison with the crude oil civil and abroad, we find the content of the colloid and the pitch in the oil from the oil sand of Neimengu province is relatively high and the saturated phenol is low, which indicates that the oil we get from the oil sand is heavy crude oil with high content nitrogen, high content wax, high content colloid and are hard to separate, but the sulfur content is rather low, which is good to be further refined after separation. The data from the analysis experiment of the oil product of the oil sand can be reserved for further processing and using.
