Study On Eco-clean Minor Watershed Management In Beijing

Centered in water resources protection, to build three defensive lines (eco-restoration, eco-management and eco-protection) and eco-clean minor watersheds has become the new concept in the minor watershed management in Beijing. Based on management of water loss and soil erosion, environmental beautification and environmental quality improvement, the construction of eco-clean watersheds take the principles of ecology priority and human-nature harmony. Through a combination of the construction of the three defensive lines and the industrial structure adjustment in the countryside, water resources were protected, and food security, water environmental safety and landscape integrity are guaranteed, with local economy, sustained, stable social development being promoted.Now eco-clean minor watershed construction is on the first stage in China,and the corresponding basic theories are still exploring, and not many systemic research prouctions appear. The paper discusses the theories about eco-clean minor watershed' s planning and designing, then it takes Wulituo minor watershed, Shijingshan district, Beijing as an example to make a case study.The study proved the comprehensive management had met three goals, ecological restoration, water resources protection and minor watersheds management. A sustainable use of water resources and a harmonious relation between human and the nature were realized. Eco-clean watersheds management meets the new conception of water management, and should be well summarized, promoted and popularized.
