In this paper, taking Beijing as the study area and Landsat TM Image as the main information resource.Applying the remote sensing software ERDAS IMAGE and ARCGIS to do dynamic monitoring on land use change between 1999 and 2002 in Beijing.Land use dynamic degree and land use transfer matrix are introduced, then the change of land-use between 1999 and 2002 in Beijing is detected.Based on the objective facts of the study area and existed material, five indexs are calculated. And Region Natural Eco-environment Evaluation Model is built.According to the model, it indicates that the city greenbelt increased from 630 hm~2 to 4000 hm~2 and tilth increased from 136300 hm~2 to 188600 hm~2.The distribution of the tilth appears to be mass in 1999 and to be separated in 2002.Forest increased from 226000 hm~2 to 364000 hm~2. And Industrial land increased from 222100 hm~2 to 384200 hm~2.But water area decreased from 44800 hm~2 to 20690 hm~2.The quality of eco-environment presents in normal level.Therefore, It is of great importance for the sustainable development of social economic and eco-environment in Beijing to understand and evaluate the existed eco-environment quality correctly and make corresponding protection countermeasure.
