Study On Preparation And Application Technology Of Deep And Small Hole Finishing Electroplating Honing Tools

Technology of deep and small hole finishing has been researched on emphasis for its wide range application and hard machining. Single-pass hole finishing technology from U.S. also called integral honing has better precision, less machining time, more simple operation and less cost than conventional honing for using its CBN or diamond-plated hole finishing tools.The internal research about that is limited. Some problems that have not been resolved satisfyingly such as short life, low precision and lacking process of electroplating tools restrict the development of technology for deep and small hole finishing. Therefore manufacture and application of electroplating tools used in Single-pass hole finishing technology have been researched in this paper associating with precision machining of plunger project. The major content is as following:1. Based on summarizing machining technology of deep and small hole, an introduction about most advanced technology and internal research is given.2. Activation electroplating technology is demonstrated. This paper puts forward a new electroplating method utilizing activated abrasives and an analysis of activation effect for binding strength from theory is carried out. Validate effect though cutting test using activated CBN-electroplated tools comparing with normal electroplating CBN tools.3. In order to improve dimension and shape precision, a detailed research of every step in manufacturing process of series fixed electroplating tools with activated CBN is carried out.4. Appropriate process is studied by machining 3mm-diameter hole of plunger with series fixed CBN-plated tools. Improving method is given aiming at the problems arising in the cutting test.
