According to the low heat Storage of the clay brick, alumina-rich brick and silica brick used as checkers in hot blast stove, the MgO-MgO·Fe2O3 refractories used in checkers of the hot blast stove is trial-manufactured on base of the analysis of the Mg-Fe matter applied in the field of heat storage.In this paper, the compounding process of zeylanite with Caustic—calcined magnesite powder and iron ore concentrate was investigated and the better prescription was confirmed.Through the synthesis analysis of density, pressing, content of magnesium ferrite and compressive strength, it was pointed out that the better recipes of the MgO-MgO·Fe2O3 refractories is 40% of MgO and 60% of Fe2O3.At the same time, the annular crack was avoided by holding temperature at 600℃for 1h during the course of burned in which 1550℃was the reasonable burned temperature.MgO-MgO·Fe2O3 refractories is prepared and its properties were tested, the results showed that it was necessary to improve thermal shock resistance. at the same time, the reasonable scheme are established by means of the analysis of the reason that thermal shock resistance of magnesia materials is bad.The influence of MgO-MgO·Fe2O3 refractories performance is studied by the quantity of Al2O3 used and the different compound of grain, especially, from which the the thermal shock resistance can be enhanced from 2 to 7.
