In rail-welding field, the Flash-Butt welding is a main means. The classify of Flash-Butt Welding power are AC power welding and DC power welding. In fix welding and mobile welding, 50Hz AC power welding is most common. Today, all AC Flash-Butt Welding machine are powered by single-phase AC power, the defects such as welding quality instability, 3-PH unsymmetry energy consumption is unacceptable is general exist.In this thesis, our target is reduce power consumption in welding, we can get the point of AC Flash-Butt Welding working conditions through enumerate some typical AC Flash-Butt Welding machine and DC welding machine, analyze and compare their basic structures of Main Circuit, Control Circuit and Power Supply Mode, and use formula, data to present the important impact to Flash-Butt Welding quality and to AC energy-save in reactive power, from analyze we can see when reactive power is down, it can save energy, also it can be good to Flash transition.Based on this theory, through technological-economical analyze and consider present technology level, raise solutions of Flash-Butt Welding power supply mode: Low Voltage Single-Phase Generator supply.The control system of Single-Phase Generator is AVR-controled digital control mode, it has a basic man-machine interface and base functions, through hardware design, software design and interference protection design, it can working under high-electrical-interference circumstance in Flash-Butt Welding working conditions, and proved by work field experiments. The device can satisfy the basic needs of Mobile Rail AC Flash-Butt Welding Device.Look forward to the future of Flash-Butt Welding developments, point out the High Frequency, Low Dimension, Energy Save, Digital Control and High Reliability are main develop directions of Railway Flash-Butt Welding.
