| The flash butt welding of the rail is a key technology in continuous rail's laying, the whole set flash butt welding machine is absolutely necessary.At present, the rail welding machines used in china are mainly imported abroad.After synthesizing researches which our country have achieved, and assimilating modern overseas key technology and equipment of welding rail, the first homemade rail AC flash butt welding machine—UN5-200 is appeared, which has all knowledge property rights. It enhances the level of railway equipment, fills up the blank of domestic flash butt welding machine.After being used in production, it indicated that: the welding machine is adopted fixed configuration, which is not only compact, but also easy to center-adjusted and clamp rail. The rail is accurate center-adjusted by hydraulic pressure system. The control system adopted Industrial Personal Computer (IPC) as the main computer, and adopted Programmable Logic Computer (PLC) as the subordinate computer. With the Electro-Hydraulic Proportional Valve, the control system realizes the velocity control for flash and upset. Rail feed rate was control through current negative feedback, guarantee stabile process of burn-off course. The parameters values such as welding current, welding voltage, oil pressure, rail displacement and etc, are real-time collected by the software system, which can make general figure of welding parameters, so it can be easy to analyse the quality of welding.In the thesis research, the parameters values such as welding current, welding voltage, movable column displacement of U75V flash butt welding course are real-time collected, some system research was conducted of welding process, welding quality and process course according to the U75V collected welding data. At present the U75V process experiments have already finished, according to the China Railway Department Criterion TB/T1632-05, the drop test have passed in Jan.2007. The machine now is on stream, application results is all right.
