Since the appearance of Lycra(R), polyurethane elastomeric fiber becomes more and more widely used because of its excellent elasticity and body adaptability. With the development of the times, people pay more attention to the comfort and concinnity of the apparel. The excellent elasticity of polyurethane fiber and the good properties such as air and water permeability, softness of the interlacing fabrics of polyurethane fiber and other fibers meet the needs of people nowadays, so fabric containing polyurethane fiber becomes one of the developing directions of the new fabrics.Polyurethane fiber has been existed for a long time, so there are quite a lot of studies on it. Among them, the studies of woven fabrics are much more than those of knitted fabrics. And the studies on knitted fabrics are focused on the relations between bleaching, dyeing, yarn supplying of polyurethane fiber and the elasticity, crease resistance of the fabrics. The thermohumid comfort of knitted fabrics is good while the dimensional stability is poor. But the addition of polyurethane fiber can enhance the elastic recovery and durability of knitted fabrics. So in the thesis, the wearing properties, thermohumid comfort, elastic recovery and the transformation of the properties above after washing of the elastic interlacing knitted fabrics of cotton and polyurethane are investigated based on the studies before.In the thesis, plain knits, rib knits and interlock knits of cotton and polyurethane with different fine and different content are knitted. After the compare between the fabrics before and after bleaching and dyeing process, it shows that the fabrics become more tightness, and the bearing strength slightly declines. So it is very important for the fabrics containing polyurethane fiber to controlling the temperature and pH value in the process of bleaching and dyeing.The bending rigidity and the crease resistance of the fabrics are measured. Because of the characteristics of weft knits, there is much difference between the lengthwise and breadthwise direction. And the difference declines with the increase of the content of polyurethane fiber. The fabric becomes more softness and the crease recovery angle becomes greater when the content of polyurethane is increased.There is less impact of the content of polyurethane fiber on the drapability. Rregression analysis shows that the thickness and weight of fabrics are linear relativity to the drapable coefficient. There are some relations between drapability and bending rigidity of fabrics. The less the rigidity is, the better the drapability is.The elastic recovery of interiacing knitted fuo(?) of cotton and polyurethane is much better than that of cotte(?) (?) tabric. And through regression analysic, it shows that elastroy (?) confficient is linear relativity to the content of polyurethane. The more the content is, the better the elasticity recovery is.Grey correlation analysis shows that there is less impact of the content of polyurethane fiber on the thermohumid comfort. And it can be reduced by decreasing the thickness of fabrics and the fine of fibers.After washing, the dimension of the fabric is changed. And it is changed a lot after the first time of washing, while it becomes stable after several times of washing. The dimensional stability becomes better with the increase of the content of polyurethane fiber.With the increase of the times of washing, the elasticity recovery coefficient declines gradually, and it becomes stable at last. The durable of fabrics becomes better when the content of polyurethane fiber is increased and the yarns of the fabrics are widened.With the increase of the times of Washing, the bearing strength declines gradually and the bending rigidity, crease resistance, air and water permeability, warmth retention property declined and become stable.at last.Guo Xiaoyun (Textile Engineering)Supervised by Prof. Wang Wenzu...
