| Life cycle assessment (LCA), developed in 1980s, is such a technology, which can overall assess the pollution of some product. As an environmental management tool, it gives a systemic assessment on the produced overall environmental impact system of the whole life cycle of the product, including the raw material selection, manufacture of product, transport and sales, utilization and disposal. Therefore, it overcomes the one-sidedness and limitation of the traditional accessed way. The emphasis of management turns to the lifecycle management of the product from the end harness and process control.According to the ISO14040, LCA includes 4 steps: goal and scope definition, inventory analysis, life cycle impact assessment, and interpretation of results. However, the international research on LCA at present mostly remains on the inventory analysis, without impact assessment. The reason is that the method of life cycle impact assessment hasn't been normalized. In the world, the researches on the way of impact assessment are actively carried on, and there are some representative methods, such as the Holland effect type model, Holland ecological index modes, Sweden EPS model and so on. Because of the different degree of the economic development, the storage of the nature resource and the understanding of the environmental protection, the aim and emphasis of the environmental protection are different. Therefore, those ways cannot directly be applied in China, and we should explore the suitable LCA model.Based on the existing principle of LCA, a frame and model suitable for the PET fiber is established by survey, consulting and analyzing lots of the literatures and data. Considering the global, regional, and local environmental impact area, an environmental impact system is founded including eutrophication, acid pollution, global warming, photochemical ozone synthetic pollution, industrial ash, noise, etc. Using the effect factor to calculate the environmental potential effects, which are normalized later, and then the environmental burden of different environmental impact types are obtained ultimately by the weighted association calculation using analytical hierarchy process (AHP).In the thesis, lots of data on the resource and energy utilization, and discharge of environmental pollutants are collected, including the stages of the production of PET resin, the production of PET fiber, the fabric manufacture, transportation, sales, use and disposal of terylene textile, and then the model referred above is applied to the assessment of terylene textile, and the serious environmental effect stage is analyzed, thus the LCA results lay a foundation for ecological and sustainable development of terylene textile. In model application, the concept of green degree is introduced into the two stages the production of PET fibre and the terylene textile manufacture. Taking the resources and energy utilization of the two stages into account, the membership degree of each factor is calculated using the membership function and, and the final green degree is determined ultimately, which is my innovation in this dissertation. |
