With the development of information technology in decade, for organic/inorganic compound opt-functional materials, not only tremendous progresses on the research of which have been made, but also many eyes have cast on it in academe. Because of the merit of low temperature synthesis condition in the process of preparation of compound materials, the sol-gel technique has been applied extensively.Carbazole-containing SiO2 films and azobenzene-containing organic and inorganic compound material have been prepared by sol-gel method. Employing UV-visible spectrometer (Agilent 8453) and fluorescence spectrometer (LS 55), Their photoluminescent properties were investigated respectively. The results show that the blue, green and red tricolor light-emitting have been obtained when carbazole molecules were embedded in sol-gel derived SiO2 films. Similarly, when azobenzene molecules, one kind of light active organic material, take place of carbazole molecules, the stable orange emission has been achieved although despite it was excited at different wavelength. This will provide direction for organic and inorganic compound materials with low-cost and optimizing light-emitting, and otherwise pave a new way to serve for preparation of OLED and laser materials.Employing sol-gel technique, carbazole and ortho nitrobenze mixture-containing SiO2 films were prepared with nitric acid as catalyst, and only carbazole-containing SiO2 films with dramatic difference in micro-structure were prepared instead ammonia and hydrochloric acid respectively. Their emission spectra were measured to discuss the form of carbazole molecules in micro-hole of silica gel. And meanwhile, in order to investigate chemical reaction-active between carbazole molecules and nitric acid, the aborption properties of carbazole molecules dissolving in ethanol solvent, ethanol and hydrochloric acid mixture, ethanol and nitric acid mixture, were collected respectively. Based on these results, we demonstrated that nitro-reaction between carbazole molecules and nitric acid happened with carbazole ramification isomers formation, which coming to being a conjugation system between these isomers and so as to change of photoluminescence properties of carbazole-containing SiO2 films.
