Mixed juice separation and purification is the highest cost and more difficult process in cane sugar mill. It is vital for sugar manufacture and mostly decides the quality of sugar products. Adsorption capability of modified bentonite is good, for it is very fine powder, good active surface and has equality quality, big ratio surface. This performance is important for mixed juice clarification. It will made clarification better and improves sugar products quality by using this technology. Furthermore, its cost is low, operation is easy and good for environment.This experiment takes material with the guangxi bentonite, because the adsorptive capacity of is not good, we used three different methods—organically, high temperature roasting and microwave—to modify the raw bentonite, the results obtains good effects, organic modified bentonite has the best effect.The follow was the main contents in this research paper.1. Mechanism and characterization of using modified bentonite sugar clarification.2. The research on modified bentonite used in sulphitation process.3. The research on modified bentonite used in sulphitation process. Disposing the mixed juice by using modified bentonite by contrast experiments, measured the decolorization effect, settling velocity, purity difference, turbidity, as well as filtration velocity, then found out the best technological conditions requirements by range analysis and the marked factors of decolorization effect, settling velocity and purity difference as well as filtration velocity by variance analysis.4. The research on better modified bentonite used in orthogonal experiment process. Disposing the mixed juice by using modified bentonite by orthogonal experiment, measured the decolorization effect, settling velocity, purity difference ,turbidity as well as filtration velocity then found out the best technological conditions requirements by range analysis and the marked factors of decolorization effect, settling velocity and purity difference as well as filtration velocity by variance analysis. Then found out the best technology condition.
