Choose the type of sand for substantiality model is a key technology. It directly influences the reliability of the result of experiment and similarity of the sand motion and riverbed distortion. The present various traditional sands that are in common use have immobile densities that are not changeable. Thus, the designer of the model have to make some part of similar condition deviated.By changing the proportion of organic and inorganic ingredients to mobile the value of particle density in a certain range, the design and prepare of the hydrophilic resin based composite sand(HRCS) has break the restriction of immobile density of traditional sands. And through the coloration and several treating technologies, some features of hydrophilic sand show priority to traditional sandsBut, there are still features of HRCS that needs to be elevated. The agglomeration of particle and harden of riverbed, which is constitutionally lead by the agglomeration, are two main features that need to be elevated. Thus, analyzing the mechanism of harden of riverbed, lower the force of particles' agglomeration, defer harden of riverbed of HRCS are the main task of improve the feature of HRCS.By adsorption modification and some other method, this dissertation analyzed the physicochemical property of particle surface and the main issues that influence the agglomeration of HRCS particle. On knowing the main issues that influence the agglomeration of HRCS particle, we could find out the right way to advance the dispersion of HRCS particle in water. Then, harden of riverbed would be defer.Study shows that harden of riverbed are decided by several issues. One issue is the hydrophilic property of HRCS particle. Though HRCS particle has been hydrophilic modified, there is still certain extent hydrophobic property of HRCS particle comparing to the traditional hydrophilic sands, it is showed that hydrophobic property of HRCS particle still influences the agglomeration and harden of riverbed of fine HRCS particle. Another issue is that the close-pack of HRCS particle in riverbed, especially in the surface. For the united strong effect of hydrophobic force, Vanderwaals force and electric double layer force, the migration and aggregation of particle in void of accumulative formation, lower the void ratio of riverbed of riverbed surface layer. With the reduction of the void ratio of riverbed, the distance of particle surface becomes shorter, thus harden of riverbed aggravates and incipient motion increase too much.Study shows that by advancing the hydrophilic property of HRCS particle and adsorbing surfactant macromolecular in HRCS particles surface with strong steric hindrance and hydrophilic property of its' long carbon chains, harden of HRCS riverbed could be effectively deferred.
