Study On The Painting Process Of The Water-based Coating For The Wood Furnitures

This paper mainly research how the roughness of wooden surface affecting water-based primer sealer, how the spreading quantity of the painting affecting the quality, and how the process of the high air drying affecting the painting quality, found and validate the better painting process and quality, so we can improve the painting quality of the water-based coating by the point of process.The wood furniture surface roughness was vital to the adhesion of the water-based primer sealer, The surface roughness should well situated, too big or too small will all go against to the adhesion of the water-based primer sealer, and found the best surface roughness Ra was 5.2 um; At the same time, founding the mode of the relationship between surface roughness and the adhesion of the water-based primer sealer.In the research of the spreading quantity, we analyzed the effect of the spreading quantity to the paint films quality of the Water-based painting, also found the best the spreading quantity by integration-graded: the spreading quantity of the water-born primer sealer is 60 g/m~2 ; the spreading quantity of the water-born primer is 100 g/m~2 ; the spreading quantity of the water-born finish coat is 120 g/m~2.In the study of the high air drying process, we found humidity is the notable factor ,and the best process is that the temperature 55 degree, humidity percent 50,the first hard dry 6.5 minutes and the second hard dry 9 minutes for the water-born primer sealer, the temperature 35 degree, humidity percent 50,the first hard dry 16 minutes and the second hard dry 22 minutes for the water-born primer , the temperature 35 degree, humidity percent 70,the first hard dry 50 minutes and the second hard dry 40 minutes for the finishing coat .The best painting process for water-based coating is surface roughness Ra was 5.2 um;the spreading quantity of the water-born primer sealer is 60 g/m~2 ; the spreading quantity of the water-born primer is 100 g/m~2 ; the spreading quantity of the water-born finish coat is 120 g/m~2; the temperature 55 degree, humidity percent 50,the first hard dry 6.5 minutes and the second hard dry 9 minutes for the water-born primer sealer, the temperature 35 degree, humidity percent 50,the first hard dry 16 minutes and the second hard dry 22 minutes for the water-born primer , the temperature 35 degree, humidity percent 70,the first hard dry 50 minutes and the second hard dry 40 minutes for the finishing coat .Compare to traditional PU varnish, the adhesion of surface coatings, the surface resistance to water and the surface resistance to dry heat for the water-based painting films are equal, the resistance to wet heat, the hardness of the paint films and the wearability of surface coatings are a little difference, we need improve further by the coating and the colophony and so on.
