This paper study the paint process and painting quality of turpentine-proofwater-based primer sealer. Single factor analysis, multiple factor analysis andKansei Engineering have been applied to study the pine wood painting. Many dataand conclusions obtained during the experiment have been used to guide practice inthe manufacture of pine wood furniture.This paper research how the roughness of pine surface affectingturpentine-proof water-based primer sealer, how the spreading quantity of thepainting affecting the quality, and how the process of infrared drying affecting theperformance of coating. In the research, the quality of coating has been promoted byoptimizing the process of painting.The pine wood furniture surface roughness was vital to the adhesion ofturpentine-proof water-based primer sealer. The surface roughness should wellsituated, too big or too small will all go against to the adhesion of theturpentine-proof water-based primer sealer, and found the best surface roughness Rawas3.99um; when the surface roughness Ra was too big at5.72um, theperformance of turpentine proof was poorest. At the same time, we found the modeof the relationship between surface roughness and the adhesion of turpentine-proofwater-based primer sealer.In the research of the spreading quantity, we analyzed the effect of thespreading quantity to the coat quality of turpentine-proof water-based painting, alsofound the best the spreading quantity by multiple factor analysis: the spreadingquantity of the first turpentine-proof water-based primer sealer is60g/m2; thespreading quantity of the second turpentine-proof water-based primer sealer is105g/m2; the spreading quantity of the water-based finish coat is130g/m2.In the research of drying method, we quantify the affective factors includingtransparency,sanding property,fullness. The difference of time quantum before wesend the pine wood into infrared dryers has been proved that it effects thetransparency, sanding property, fullness. When the time quantum was6min, thetransparency index reached the best level-0.97; when the time quantum was7min,the sanding property index reached the best level-0.83; when the time quantum was3min, the fullness index reached the best level-0.64.
