The Theory And Application Research On Curriculum Development Of Mould And Die Major In Higher Vocational Education

Mould and Die is a special kind of tooling and almost all manufactory industries utilize Mould and Die.Professionals of application in Mould and Die Manufacture are the most popular no matter in developed countries or in developing countries.It is said that all the developed countries are moving their Mould and Die manufactories into China and China is becoming the world's plant base.It gives the Mould and Die industry more unprecedented opportunities and challenges.The Mould and Die industry needs not only more professional theorists,but also more practical people, such as designers, applicators.Where can these people be brought forth? It depends on the higher vocational education system. How to accelerate the development of higher vocational education to train qualified Mould and Die professionals in China?Curriculum reform is becoming a key element on this issue.This paper starts from the common practical curriculum problems in Mould and Die major in higher vocational education, through analyzing problems in detail,figure out the real reasons of these problems.On the basis of this research,the author made a curriculum application study in Mould and Die major in higher vocational education.Within the thesis,it involved in the theories of curriculum profile, curriculum style and curriculum developing method.The paper first animadvert the subject-centered curriculum, compared competency-based curriculum as well as human-centered curriculum and, then draw the conclusion that competency-based curriculum should be settled in Mould and Die major in higher vocational education if we understand the competence accurately.Then the author introduced several curriculum developing methods such as MES,CBE/DUCUM, Dual System,TAFE and KH;analyzed their suitable characteristics in Mould and Die major.Combined with the competency-based principle,the curriculum of Mould and Die major in higher vocational education should be vocation-oriented and competency-based.Based on this conclusion,the author made a trial curriculum development in Mould and Die major in higher vocational education.At last,the author hopes her efforts could be helpful to the present curriculum reform in Mould and Die major in higher vocational education.
