With appearance of numerous new mechanical equipments, people's demands for excellent properties of lubricating oils are increasing. In recent years, various excellent properties of lubricating oils make the mechanical equipment have more efficiency and longer life. The additive is an important part in lubricating oils, also the marrow of modem super lubricating oils. It can change properties of oil and obtain satisfactory useable properties to put appropriate amount of additives into lubricating oils. Therefore, it can believe that the development of additives determines the development tendency of lubricating oils.ESPCP system consists of six critical components, which is electrical motor, gear reducer, coupling, progressing cavity pump, frequency converter and protector. The planetary gear reducer is one of the critical components of the ESPCP. How to elect types and properties of industrial gear oil to enhance its reliability and lifetime becomes to be key technical problem of the ESPCP system, because of the working environment where is high temperature and high pressure under oil wells and the difficulty of friction and wear.The paper introduces the principle and constitution of the ESPCP, the present situation and development trend of industrial gear oil, the capability of ester oil and different extreme pressure anti-wear additives. The paper mainly concentrates on the tribology properties and lubricating mechanism of three extreme pressure and anti-wear additives-T307,T321 and T120, which are used as single or mixed additives in base oil, in order to find out extreme pressure and anti-wear properties of additives in synthetic oils, to select high effective additives for synthetic oils, to acquire best lubricating effect, to give the optimal mass concentration of additives in synthesis oils.Firstly, the experiments of four balls friction pairs are taken by the Multi-purpose friction test machine, the marks of surface of balls are photographed by the SEM machine. Then, analyze extreme pressure and anti-wear properties of three additives, when they are used as single or mixed additives. Last, the optimal mass concentration of additives in synthesis oils are given respectively. The research can provide one method for how to study industrial gear oils, supply reliable data for practical application, enrich content of tribology, and build base for research on high effective biodegradable synthetic gear oil and rolling oils.
