Gear transmission is a common form of transmission in the mechanical industry.Because of its wide application range,high transmission efficiency,and reliable operation,it is widely used.However,the surface quality of the gear directly affects its performance,life,and overall performance.Therefore,higher requirements are placed on gear finishing.This paper is based on the research and development of a new process that can solve the existing problems of the oil pump gear.It is hoped that the entire surface of the gears can be finished by one-time finishing,and the efficiency of the finishing process can be improved while ensuring that the surface quality of the gears meets the requirements.The main research of paper is as follows:1.Based on the review of data and research,aiming at the existing problems of the oil pump gear,from the perspective of theoretical analysis and case analysis,the characteristics of several commonly used barrel finishing processes in processing are analyzed,and their respective application scopes are clarified.2.Combining the advantages of several common barrel finishing processes and the requirements of the oil pump gear,a reciprocating swirling composite finishing process scheme is proposed,and the feasibility is verified by experiments.3.The motion analysis model is established and the calculation formula is deduced.The influence of parameters in the reciprocating swirling composite finishing process is analyzed in detail through the MATLAB software,the motion characteristics of the gear under the process scheme are clarified,and on this basis,through the theoretical analysis,it is clarified that the gears are forced to rotate or fixed in the reciprocating swirling composite finishing process,which affecte the surface quality of the gears.4.Simulation verification by ADAMS software proves the correctness of the cutting speed and cutting angle formula deduced in this paper.At the same time,simulation analysis is performed by EDEM software to clearly define the interaction mechanism between the grinding blocks and the workpiece.The theoretical analysis of the reciprocating swirling composite finishing process,the swirling barrel finishing process,and the two parallel-spindle barrel finishing process is more clearly understood.This article is devoted to the study of the characteristics of the reciprocating swirling composite finishing process and the impact of important parameters on the surface quality of the workpiece,solving the problems of poor processing quality,low life,and low batch processing efficiency of the gear end face of the oil pump;Secondly,through the comparison of various processing methods,we have more in-depth understanding of the advantages and application scope of various finishing methods.In the future,the workpieces according to their own needs to choose what kind of finishing method and the selection of the finishing process parameters provide a theoretical basis;Finally,the theoretical formulas and derivation process of formula from this paper can provide some reference value for the derivation of other finishing theories.At the same time,the optimization of parameters can shorten the research and development cycle of equipment and products,and it is even more significant for the subsequent development of barrel finishing technology.
