Digital control has the characteristics of stabilization, portability, accurateness, reliability, rapidity and highly integration, which provide necessary support to ensure the stability and technique effect of pulse MIG welding, to ensure the welding device in a small volume and with a light weight. In the device researching, based on advanced digital technique, The optimization and management of welding power has realized and was improved the stability and working efficiency of welding process. However, most research, especially in domestic field, is focused on the improvement of welding power. Further research such as collaboration of welding device, network multi-machine system, application of Artificial Intelligence system, are still in the primary stage.Based on the study of high-powered embedded CPU, this project chose the ARM9 embeded chip as CPU, which is widely used and has network function. The project also designed pulse MIG welding digital system, studied the solution of the embedded system application in welding power control, network application and Intelligence system, designed the application structure model of pulse MIG welding digital control system.This thesis analyzed the core structure of ARM920 embeded chip and basic function of RTOS embeded operation system(thesis use Linux verson2.4 as a example), discussed the software working model and control method of embedded system. According to the digital design solution, the project established the basic working environment based on Guangzhou Store S3C2410 embeded system development board, provided hardware and software design solution to drive the main circuit of phase shifting entire bridge inversion based on the four PWM in ARM920 chip, designed the driver program and the hardware device interface circuit based on CS8900A net chip, realized the application of network database based on embedded database system which is mSQL. In addition, the thesis also studied the electronmagetic interference and protection under embedded evelment. From the hardware point of view, the application of high-powered ARM embedded system on pulse MIG welding digital control system, reduced the architecture of microcomputer control and device volume, improved the adaptability and expansibility of the device. From software point of view, using the operating system and network resources, the system can easily realized the data process and transport, which make it much easier to the application and online update for the intelligence system. The project provide a executable solution for the digital system of welding equipment, it also provide workspace for the intelligence machine useing in net and intelligence system.
