The wetland is the richest ecosystem of biodiversity in nature. A healthy wetland ecosystem has many kinds of important ecology function such as storing floodwater, adjusting climate, self-controlling water source, purifying water quality and so on. Yellow River delta wetland area is one of biodiversity richest areas in the world. It is not only many wetland types but also complex structure. At present the wetland faced with large-scale development of oil, Yellow River blocking the flow, the wetland pollution, the sea level rising and the seacoast eclipsing, the blind development, entrusts with heavy responsibility lightly raises, and so on the aspect threatens. It causes the contradiction is prominent of local economical development and wetland resources conservationWetland ecosystem health dynamic synthesis appraisal may for further promulgate the wetland ecosystem healthy mechanism, expounded the health protects and restores mechanism. It can provide new foundation data and scientific basis based on wetland management and protection of the management goal. It can guarantee sustainable development of the Yellow River delta wetland ecosystem. The article revolves the subject of"the wetland ecosystem health appraisal".It researched and discussed about theory, method and practice of the wetland ecosystem health appraisal. The article analyses the concept and performance foundation of wetland ecosystem healthy. Taking Kenli county of Shandong province as an example, using advanced technologies such as RS,GIS and GPS, based on the theory of landscape ecology, analyzed the dynamic development of wetland landscape pattern ; According to characteristic of the wetland ecosystem , has designed assessment indicator system of the wetland ecosystem health; appraised the entire wetland ecosystem health using the synthesis appraisal model in order to provide the scientific basis for the wetland reasonable using and protection. Through the research, the main conclusion includes:First, wetland ecosystem health theory and method systemThe research of wetland ecosystem health is a new research domain, which has no consummated theory system. It emphasized healthy condition of wetland should give the special attention as a special ecosystem. The research criterion of wetland ecosystem health includes time and spatial.Second, wetland landscape pattern dynamic change of Kenli CountyTake TM as the information source, according to studies the region wetland ecosystem present situation characteristic, wetland is divided into 10 kinds: irrigation paddy field, pit pond water surface, cultivation water surface, artificial ditch, reservoir water surface, salt field, rivers water surface, reed, shallow seas and tidelands, beach. The wetland landscape area is remarkable dropt from 1987 to 2004.In 1987 the wetland area occupied 14.10% of Kenli county, but only was 12.33% in 2004, it reduced 6155.12 hm2 in 17 years and average reduced 362.07 hm2 every year, the reduction scope of shallow seas and tidelands wetland is biggest 3894.78 hm2. The shallow seas and tidelands and reed are frequent transformation with other type. The wetland landscape mottling quantity increases, the landscape multiple index in 1987 was 1.7643, dropped to 1.7105 in 2004.The uniformity index raised from 0.6873 to 0.6923 in research time. The result promulgated this region wetland type and change characteristic, and provided the basis for constructing appraisal indicator system of wetlandecosystem health.
