An idea on the preparation of ceramic membrane have been proposed that is combining the technology of conventional ceramic glaze and porous materials, because the researchment status of inorganic membrane is high cost, complex process and hard to apply to industry. We have designed the process technology that is wide distribution materials, low-cost and simple process, have researched the main factors impacting membrane struction, and got the optimal preparation method.Experiment results show that we can get porous glaze membrane with the smooth surface, high mechanical robustness and pore uniform distribution, with quartzite sand , feldspar, limestone, bentonite, borate and industrial aluminium oxide as raw materials, solubale starch as pore-forming agent, film coating with spraying, and sintering at high temperature. The thickness of membrane is influenced by spraying times, the concentration of glaze slurry. The pore size of membrane is effected by sorts of pore-forming agent, adding amount, sintering temperature and holding time. Porous glaze membrane can be prepared through adjusting those factors. The maximum amount of pore-forming is less than 15%, or there will be large aera defect. Glaze membrane with pore-forming agent 10% is characterized by scan electronic microscope that there is apparent pore-unaccumulation, and there are columnar crystals around the membrane pore. Those are the apparent marks of glaze. Its pore distribution is basically uniform with the size about 1~3μm. The maximum pore was measured by aerospace fluids method with 5μm. The separation experiment results show that the retention of ultrafine powder is apparent up to 95%, but the wastewater retention of colority is about 9.1% and COD is about 3.2%, so we think the porous glaze membrane is typical microfiltration.Researchment shows that the idea of membrane preparation technology is available to microfiltration at least. Preparation of more little pore size membrane needs to be made advanced researchment.
