There are about 20 natural lakes withered away annually in our country. Beside, the reduction of area of the wetland is consumedly, the vegetation of which has been forfeited, the wetland is full up severely, there are about 75% natural or artificial lake come out the eutrophication. The most of the shoal lake are located in the area whose population are dense and the economic activity are frequently. Along with the instant development of community and economy and the growth in the living standard, the nutritive material come into the lake sharply rise, so the paludification problem that concerning the lifetime of shoal lake emerged increasingly along with the increase of the nutritive material entered the lake.This paper start from the vital process and the paludification character of shoal lake, labored the apiece drive cause and their relationship of the paludification character of shoal lake, and brought forward the quantizing principle of "the degree of the paludification of shoal lake". Beside, compared and analyzed present assessment method of characterize and quantitation, then choose the quantivative assessment method adapt to the paludification of shoal lake. The quantivative assessment system adapt to the paludification of shoal lake which is built and based on the combination of above two, which provide the calculating procedure for researching the quantitative analysis of the paludification of shoal lake.In this paper, the quantivative assessment index adapt to the paludification of shoal lake fall into four specific index: the depth index, silt up index, hydrophyte index and water quality index. And then build up the the quantivative assessment system adapt to the paludification of shoal lake via the combination methods of the fuzzy mathematics, principal component analysis(PCA) and analytic hierarchy process(AHP).Assessed the paludification degree of east Tai lake in 1996 and 2002 by the quantivative assessment system adapt to the paludification of shoal lake in this paper. Compared the result at the same period of this paper with the result of the geography and lake academic institution in nanjing, analyzed the variances and causation, compared which at different period in this paper, educed the paludification trend of east Tai lake are graveness with each passing day. Put forward the specific measure to let up the paludification of the east Tai lake according as analyzing the apiece drive cause of paludification of shoal lake.
