Evaluation And Restoration Of Wetland Resources In Chishan Lake Wetland Reserve

Wetland is one of the three major ecosystems in the world.It has the function of conserving water sources,regulating climate,and degrading pollutants.It provides mankind with abundant production and living resources and it is an environmental condition that people rely on for survival.At present,the global economy is developing rapidly,China's urbanization is continuing,solving the environmental problems caused by development has become an urgent issue,and the water environment is the most important issue in the environmental problem.In particular,the quality of drinking water is increasingly concerned by the people.Therefore,The protection of drinking water sources has become the lifeblood of a city's development.Chishan Lake is one of the source of the Qinhuai River and is the only natural lake in the Qinhuai River,belonging to the Taihu Lake Basin.The change of water quality in Chishan Lake will directly affect the ecology of the entire Qinhuai River and even Taihu Lake.Therefore,the ecological development of Chishan Lake will be specifically emphasized during the management and maintenance of the Taihu Lake water.The Chishan Lake Wetland covers an area of about 1,300 hectares.It is a large wetland in Jiangsu Province.The country has always attached great importance to the overall ecological quality of Chishan Lake.At the end of 2013,it approved the implementation of the pilot work of the Chishan Lake Wetland Park.It hopes to improve the overall wetland environment through the construction of the Wetland Park project.Therefore,it will contribute to the ecological environment management of Jiangsu and even the entire country.It can be seen from the resource evaluation that biological resource and water resource account for a large number of evaluations,which means that these two resources have a great influence on wetlands.Through a series of wetland restoration projects such as returning fishing to lakes,dredging,vegetation and marshland restoration,the wetland ecological environment has been improved.It provides the basis for more scientific proposal of wetland protection and development.
