In steel production field, steelmaking is a key process in steel manufacture flow; whose production scheduling problem is core and difficult in steel enterprise's production management. Emerging with the development of the steel enterprise's informatization, the MES (Manufacturing Execution System) bridges the data gap between process automation and management informatization, and is capable of planning and scheduling. Because the production scheduling of smelt shop is characterized by complex, dynamic, multi-objective, multi-constraint uncertain NP-Hard problems. Nowadays APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) contained of MES only stays a stage of theoretical study, and it is rare of a mature product.In order to resolve this problem, this paper develops an optimal technology of production scheduling in melt shop under MES environment. According to the deep analysis on steelmaking logistics, it adopts object-oriented method for simulation modeling, and builds a hierarchical model for simulation object model. Relating with the developing tendency of software engineering, the thesis develops Visual-Steelmaking guided by RUP (Rational Unified Process). During the whole product life cycle, the UML offers a good tool for system development. According to the characters of steelmaking production scheduling, it proposes a series of optimal evaluation indexes based on the development of"simulation system for logistics in steelmaking process".The research and development show that, in the development of the simulation software, the advanced software engineering idea and technology act as a good guider on software realization. The simulation data shows that, under the architecture of the enterprise's information system, the data flow in simulation system runs normally, and it is capable of planning and scheduling. As to the method of shop scheduling optimization based on simulation, simulation overcomes the disadvantage that describe with formal and mathematical method. Besides, the AHP method guided with optimal evaluation indexes, avoids the blindness caused by simulation.
