Modular fixture is developed on the base of the systemization, specification and standardization of the fixture. The application of the modular fixture can save the materials and develop time, reduce the cycle for development, it makes significant sense for the quality of the product.The emergence of the Computer-Aided Modular Fixture Design makes it possible to assemble the modular fixture virtually, and have a higher speed than assemble manually, also it can increase the productivity and decrease the labor intensity.Case-based reasoning(CBR) technology saves the former successful case and builds corresponding representative case database and mechanism of case. For the kindred product, the system can use for reference the former successful case.for these reason,it can improve the design efficiency.The main work may be summarized as follows:Using Visual Baisc as a useful tool have accomplished the re-develepment work,and embedded assembled system of modular fixture in the CATIA.The paper sorts the standard part, design the main interface of library, in which selects part and reads the corresponding data from microsoft Access file. It uses the ADO database to accomplish the mission of reading Microsoft Access file.Visual Baisc as a tool to build interface and carry out the interaction between man and computer.what's more,using Access to build the representative case database and representative structure database.Finaly,use SQL to qury the database.Analyze the Locating error and Use ANSYS for analyzing the precision of modular fixture.
