The 0/W microemulsion of nonionic surfactants to envelop VE was prepared. The influence of temperature and concentration of NaCl on the region were determined with ternary diagrams. The O/W, W/O and B.C. regions were divided by conductance methods. The rheological behavior was observed. The structure of microemulsion was observed by FE-EM.The diameters and polydispersity index of microemulsions were measured by Dynamic Light Scattering. The entrapment efficiency and release of VE in microemulsions was measured with dialysis bag-third order derivative UV Spectrophotometer method respectively. The anti-cancer activity of VE in microemulsion was investigated with cancer cells H446. Finally, VE microemulsion was also applied in food and cosmetic industry. Results showed that the influences of temperature, pH and salinity on microemulsion regions were every slightly. O/W microemulsion forms when water content over 53.3%, 40.9%, 43.4% in microemulsions of Tween 80/n-Butylalcohol/H20 system, EL-35/ethnol/H2O system, Tween80/ EL-35/ethnol/ H2O system. The rheological behavior of microemulsions showed different structures of microemulsion which was as same as the results tested by conductance methods. The diameters of microemulsion were around 8-15nm, and unchanged within a month. The microemulsion enveloping VE possessed eminent sustaining release efficiency and the efficiency was further confirmed with the growth inhibitory effect test on cancer cells H446.In this work, creatively enveloped VE in microemulsions, made VE not to be easily oxidized and possed eminent sustaining release efficiency.1. The 0/W microemulsions to envelop VE were formed steadily by nonionic surfactants, which changes VE into water-soluble liquid in water and not being easily oxidized in atmosphere, light or temperature.2. Food grade VE O/W microemulsions were firstly studied by nonionic surfactants or mixtures of nonionic surfactants, the microemulsion enveloping VE possessed eminent sustaining release, pure VE ethanol solution was taken as reference, the release rate of microemulsion sample was lower than the pure VE ethanol solution within first 10 hours, then the microemulsion sample had a higher released rate compared with the released rate of pure VE ethanol solution and reached 92.3%, which meant a perfect released efficiency.3. The diameters of VE microemulsions were around 8-15nm, which is also believed to enhance its bioavailability and to maximize its absorption in human tissues...
