The paper studied the structure, the performance and the application ofchlorinated polyethelene with the aid of the modern analysis test method and therubber compounding optimization design method. First used the DSC studied the glasstransition temperature of the chlorinated polyethene, then forcasted the glass transitiontemperature by means of the traditional groups contribution method and the molecularperformance simulation software respectively, and compared with the experimentvalue, meanwhile, observed the crystallization shape of the different chlorinitychlorinated polyethelene with the aid of the polyrizing microscrope. Use CM135B asthe research object, studied the influence of the different kinds of carbon black andtinted fillers to the CM and Si69 variable research of the CM that filled with silica.Studied the peroxide curing system, the thiourea curing system and the thiadiazolecuring system of the CM by the orthogonal experiment design method and thetraditional experiment design method. Finally studied different CM products,developed cable formula that conforme to the national standard, steel wire weavedtube formula and fire-retardant PVG conveyor belt formula, and manufactured thefinal products separately. The results are as follows:(1) With the inereasement of the polyethelene chlorination degree, the glasstransition temperature of the chlorinated polyethelene is gradually increases, compareswith traditional groups contribution method, the glass transition temperature thatsimulated by the molecular performance simulation software more approaches theactual value that tested by the DSC.(2) With the increasement of the polyethelene chlorination degree, the crystaldegree of the chlorinated polyethelene that be destroyed is gradually increases,transforms from the ordered structure into the indefinited structure gradually, when thechlorinity achives to 35%, the crystallization is almost completely destroyed, the remains crystallization is very small.(3) With the increasement of the carbon black particle size, the tensile strength ofthe CM first increases and the decreases, the elongation at break is increases, thecarbon black dispersion degree in the CM is increases, the variety rate of tensilestrength after heat gas aging is increases, the variety rate of elongation at break isdecreases.(4) The tensile strength, tear strength, DIN abrasion and the volume resistivity areall the highest in the tinted fillers, but the hardness shore A and the mooney viscosityare also the highest, and the anti-aging performance is the worst, in other tinted fillers,the calcium carbonate and the talcum powder are better. Adding Si69 to the CM filledwith silica can improve the performance obviously.(5) In peroxide curing system, when DCP and TAIC amount are separately 4 and3, the overall performance of CM is the best, adding PDM to the peroxide curingsystem can effectively improve the performance of the CM. In thiourea curing system,when the sulfur amount is 0.8, adding 4 phr NA-22 can get the best performance. Inthiadiazole curing system, when TDD and NC amount are separately 3 and 3, theoverall performance of CM is the best.(6) The cable compounding metiarial that producted by CM not only can obtainthe fine performance, but also can reduce the cost greatly. The mainly using curingsystem of the CM is the peroxide curing system, adding PDM can reduce thevulcanization time and the tear strength effectively, when the DCP amount is 3.5, theTAIC amount is 3 and the PDM amount is 0.4, the CM cable performance is the best.(7) The outside rubber of steel wire weawed tube that manufactured by CM canachive the standard request, after factory manufacturing, the formula satisfied theuser's request of processing performance, the technical performance is stable in themanufacture process, does not have big undulation.(8) The fire-retardant PVG conveyor belt that manufactured by CM as mainmaterial can achive the standard request, and the processing technology performancewas good, reduced the cost of the original formula, expanded the CM applicationdomain.
