High buoyancy swimsuit is defined as swimmers can float on the water freely afterwearing the swimsuit. There are knitted fabric composed of nylon and spandex or polyesterand spandex lastly fashionably in the market, its flotage can not far meet the highbuoyancy swimsuit requirements. Therefore, the author tentatively researches the highbuoyancy swimsuit. First, develop a device for testing the buoyancy, using the device testbuoyancy of swimsuit fabric and floatation materials(foamed plastic). According to one'sweight, budgetary estimate needing the least volume of the swimsuit filled material, andtailor the swimsuit.The buoyancy testing device is composed of the weigh sensor in form of electricresistance strain gage , weigh digital display instrument and computer data processingsoftware and sample pylon. And assess the device's accuracy, stability and sensitivity, itsrelative error is less than 3%, sensitivity reaches 0.1N, so the device takes on very highstability. The device can collect buoyancy signals at real time for a long time and recordthe buoyancy changing processes of. swimsuit fabric and floatation materials. Therefore, itcan meet testing requirements about floatation materials performance research.This paper analyses spandex content influencing elasticity reversion rate andbuoyancy of eight swimsuit fabric. Considering all facts impact, choose a polyester andspandex sample as high buoyancy swimsuit fabric. Under the same spandex contentcondition, buoyancy of polyester and spandex fabric is as six times as nylon and spandex's.By the means of development the buoyancy testing device by oneself, test flotagefilled material buoyancy , buoyancy expense rate and the relation between floatationmaterials volume and buoyancy of high buoyancy swimsuit, and choose a kind of foamedplastic—polythene foamed plastic(processed and not sop up), density is 0.0185g/cm~3,buoyancy per cubic centimeter is 0.009N, and calculate the least volume if make a certainsize high buoyancy swimsuit needing polythene foamed plastic. For example, if a thirteen 34kg girl can float on the water when she wears the high buoyancy swimsuit, she need21.4N buoyancy at least and filled polythene foamed plastic 2385cm~3 volume at least.According swimsuit measure and tested data, design and make a high buoyancy swimsuit,the testing result almost suits design requirements.The paper develops buoyancy testing device provides reliable technology waystesting floatation materials, which is composed of electronic testing and computerprocessing technology, and can automatically collect buoyancy signals at real time andprocess data. And this is the paper's main contribution. High buoyancy swimsuitexperimental research provides theory reference and data sustentation for swimsuitdesigners and developer. Therefore, there are preferable practical.
