The linear guide is a precision function part, which has fine movement precision and the friction characteristics. Besides the linear guide has very good economical performance because of its'low abrasion, long life-span and high speed characteristics. The linear guide has fine rigidity through the structure optimization and technical improvement. So the linear guide has widely used in numerical control, medical treatment, manufacture installment of semiconductor and kinds of measure machines and so on. But the same products of domestic and foreign have quite big disparity in many performance aspects of quality, precision and life and so on at the present , therefore it's necessary to do the research of the linear guide's structure and the manufacture process to enhance its performances.The main content of this paper is the theory research of the linear guide's static rigidity, the computer simulation, the experimental validation, and study and design the transient curve under the load bearing area and the non-load bearing area. The paper can be specifically divided into the following three aspects:Firstly, at the part of theory, the paper has built the Static rigidity mechanics model of the linear guide, according to the load bearing characteristic and the structure characteristic of the linear guide, and making use of the elasticity theory and the theoretical mechanics knowledge. In this paper, use the Herzt theory of the elasticity theory to analyze the mechanics features of ball bearings when they are at the loading conditions. At this base, analyze the whole linear guide's mechanics features. Finally, educe the Static rigidity mechanics model of the linear guide.Secondly, validate the Static rigidity mechanics model of the linear guide by two methods. The first one is to simulate by the ANSYS software and compare the simulation results with theory results. The second one is to use the other study's data.Thirdly, put forward the new conceptions of linear guide's transition section and transition curve design. According to the ball bearing's rigidity in the transition section and the load bearing area as well as the result of the ball bearing which obtains in mechanics analysis, put forward two transient curve design methods. But, because of the time and so on, the above two design methods has not validated by experimentation and the computer simulation analysis, so they needs to conduct the following research.
