Roller linear guide is the key functional component of numerical control(NC)machine tools,and its manufacturing level has a great influence on the development of numerical control(CN)machine.Because of its characteristics of high rigidity,high bearing capacity,high speed and high precision,the roller linear guide has been used in industrial production by many enterprises.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the stiffness characteristics of roller linear guide pair and the influencing factors of the stiffness.Based on Hertz contact theory,this study analyzes the force relationship between the roller and the raceway,and deduces the calculation formula of stress and strain.The stiffness model of the roller linear guide pair is established,and the stiffness of roller linear guide pair under vertical load is analyzed.The formula for calculating the static stiffness of roller linear guide with or without preload is derived.The stiffness model of the roller linear guide is established based on the finite element analysis software,and the static simulation is carried out.The contact mechanics characteristics of the roller linear guide are studied,and the static stiffness test is designed and compared with the finite element simulation results.The dynamic model of spring element is established by using the finite element method,and the modal analysis of the roller linear guide under constrained conditions is carried out.The modal test is designed and compared with the simulation results.The influence of the type of roller generatrix,length-diameter ratio of roller,the material of roller and the preload on the stiffness characteristics of the roller linear guide is analyzed based on finite element simulation.The influence of the type of roller generatrix on contactcharacteristics is analyzed emphatically.This study analyzes the stress distribution of the pure cylindrical roller,the full convex roller and the modified roller,and then carries out the type selection design,and the improved roller linear guide is tested and studied.Firstly,this paper introduces the measurement methods of static stiffness test,modal test and friction test.Then,based on the experiment,the influence of preload on the static stiffness and natural frequency of the roller linear guide is analyzed,as well as the influence on preload and lubricant on friction and noise of the roller linear guide.Finally,the static stiffness,natural frequency and other mechanical properties of roller linear guide from different manufacturers are tested and analyzed.
